1. Introduction

A Road Safety Session was organised on 4th August, 2026, with the objective of creating awareness among students about the importance of road safety and responsible driving practices. The programme aimed to educate students on the risks associated with road accidents and to encourage compliance with traffic regulations, particularly among those using two-wheelers to commute to school.

2. Conducted By

The session was conducted by AEI – Ms. Nimishaben Patel at the Sanctuary Hall. Her guidance and presentation helped convey essential road safety messages in a clear and effective manner to the students.

3. Participants

Students of Class XI and Class XII attended the programme. The session was specifically targeted at senior secondary students, many of whom travel to school on two-wheelers and are therefore directly affected by road safety concerns.

4. Proceedings of the Session

A PDF presentation related to safety awareness was shown to the students. The presentation covered key aspects of road safety, the importance of following traffic rules, benefits of wearing helmet and the consequences of negligent driving. The visual material helped reinforce the message of remaining safe on the roads and avoiding accidents.

5. Licence Compliance Drive

As part of the road safety initiative, students who bring two-wheelers to school were instructed to produce either a valid driving licence or proof of an application submitted to the Regional Transport Office (RTO) for obtaining a licence. This measure was taken to ensure that only licensed drivers operate vehicles on the road while commuting to school.

During the verification process, 13 students were identified as coming to school without a valid driving licence. These students have been directed to produce the required documents by the following day. In the event of non-compliance, their parents will be summoned, and they will be advised not to permit their wards to bring vehicles to school until proper documentation is obtained.

6. Objective and Conclusion

This drive for road safety awareness has been undertaken solely for the benefit of the students. The primary aim is to ensure that they remain safe and are not exposed to the risk of road accidents. By emphasising the need for valid licences and responsible driving habits, the school seeks to instil a culture of safety and compliance with traffic laws among its students.

The session was successfully conducted and is expected to contribute positively towards reducing the likelihood of road accidents involving students. Continued monitoring and follow-up with the identified students will help reinforce the importance of adhering to road safety norms.
