1. Introduction

The Hemrajmal Punjabi Charitable Trust (Regd. No. E-9264) successfully organised the Sindhi Language Elocution Competition on 9th August 2026 at Sadhu Vaswani School, Sardarnagar, Ahmedabad. The programme commenced at 9:00 a.m. and was conducted with the dual objective of promoting the Sindhi language and preserving its rich cultural heritage, while simultaneously providing students with a meaningful platform to develop their public speaking and communication skills. Dr. Anil Khatri – an eminent consultant pediatrician and neonatologist,  Managing Trustee of the Thalassemia Jagruti Foundation, Trustee and Joint Secretary at Sadhu Vaswani Mission & High School, presided over the function as the Chief Guest.

2. Categories of Participation

The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across three distinct categories:

  • Group A: Standards VI to VIII
  • Group B: Standards IX to X
  • Group C: Standards XI to XII

3. Topics of Elocution

Participants delivered speeches on a variety of thought-provoking and culturally significant topics, including:

  • Sindhi Sanskriti
  • India’s Brave Men and Women
  • Scientists of India
  • My Family
  • Sindhi Businessmen
  • Technology in Today’s World

4. Observations

The competition encouraged students to express their ideas confidently in the Sindhi language while showcasing their knowledge, creativity, and oratory skills. Participants displayed remarkable confidence, clarity of thought, and effective presentation skills, rendering the event both educational and inspiring. The high standard of delivery reflected the students’ dedication and the value they place on their linguistic and cultural roots.
