Sadhu Vaswani School joyfully celebrated Raksha Bandhan on 27 August 2026, honouring the cherished tradition of love, protection, and the sacred bond between siblings. The day was marked by a series of age-appropriate activities thoughtfully planned across different grade levels, fostering cultural values, creativity, and camaraderie among students.
In the Pre-Primary section through Standard II, the celebration centred on the traditional ritual of rakhi-tying. Girls brought beautifully crafted rakhis and tied them on the wrists of the boys, while the boys reciprocated with chocolates as tokens of affection and goodwill. The simple yet heartfelt exchange filled the classrooms with warmth and a spirit of mutual care.
Students of Standards III to VI participated in a vibrant Rakhi-making competition. With enthusiasm and imagination, the children designed colourful rakhis using a variety of materials, showcasing their artistic skills and understanding the significance of the festival. The competition encouraged creativity while reinforcing the values of affection and responsibility associated with the occasion.
For Standards VII and VIII, the celebrations were divided by the activity to engage all students meaningfully. Girls took part in a Mehandi Competition, adorning their hands with intricate and elegant henna designs that reflected both traditional motifs and contemporary creativity. Meanwhile, the boys participated in inter-class matches and sports activities, promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy competition in the true spirit.
