Sadhu Vaswani School, in collaboration with the Sant Leela Shah Sindhi Language & Literature Centre, Central University of Gujarat, and with funding support from the National Council for Promotion of Sindhi Language (NCPSL), New Delhi, successfully organised a cultural competition titled “Sindhi Bhashan, Kavya Pathan & Sindhi Geet Gayan” on 28th March 2026 at the Sanctuary Hall.

The event aimed to promote and preserve Sindhi language and literature by providing students with a platform to showcase their talents in elocution and poetry recitation. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation by the students of the school and highlighted the richness of Sindhi cultural heritage.

The competition was judged by Ms. Lata Ramrakhiyani (Retired Teacher, Sadhu Vaswani School) and Ms. Lajwanti Motwani (Assistant Teacher, Evergreen School), who appreciated the participants for their confidence and command over the language.

Dignitaries present during the event included  Chief Guest  Ms. Meena D. Sirwani (I/c Principal), Guest of Honour C.A.  Shri S. K. Sadhwani (Secretary) and Mrs. Santosh Vyas (CEO)

The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial candle followed by Dadaji’s aarti. A warm welcome address was delivered by the CEO, Ms. Santosh Vyas, setting the tone for the event. The Chief Guest and judges addressed the gathering, encouraging students to continue nurturing their linguistic and cultural roots.

Students participated in two categories based on age groups, presenting speeches and poetry recitations in Sindhi. The performances were captivating, reflecting the beauty of Sindhi poetry, the strength and the charm of expression in speech renditions.

Winners were felicitated with certificates, gifts, and prizes. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Kamla Makhija.

Overall, the event was a resounding success, fostering cultural pride and inspiring students to actively engage in preserving the Sindhi language and heritage.
