On December 17, 2025, Sadhu Vaswani School marked the upcoming Tulsi Pujan Diwas (observed nationally on December 25, 2025) with a meaningful celebration during the morning assembly. The event was thoughtfully organised by Shree Yoga Vedant Sewa Samiti, highlighting the spiritual, health, and cultural significance of the sacred Tulsi plant.
The programme carried the inspiring tagline: “Ghar ghar mein ho pujit Tulsi, Mile bhakti, swasthya, samriddhi” (May Tulsi be worshipped in every home, bringing devotion, health, and prosperity.)
Students were educated about the holistic benefits of yoga, the importance of maintaining good posture, and the practice of meditation for overall well-being. A key highlight was the step-by-step demonstration of the traditional Tulsi Pujan ritual, where children learned to:
- Light a diya near the Tulsi plant,
- Apply kumkum (vermilion) as an offering,
- Perform circular parikrama (circumambulation) around the plant with reverence.
The young learners were also informed about the remarkable medicinal properties of Tulsi leaves, including the ability to enhance concentration levels and help the body remain disease-free when consumed regularly.
The celebration concluded on a devotional note with the melodious aarti of the Tulsi plant, setting a serene and spiritual tone in the entire campus.
Through this insightful programme, students not only gained knowledge about India’s rich cultural heritage but also understood the seamless connection between spirituality, health, and nature. Such initiatives reinforce the values of devotion, wellness, and prosperity that Tulsi symbolises in every Indian household.
