Matru-Pitru Poojan Diwas – A Heartwarming Tribute to Parents
Sadhu Vaswani School (SVS) proudly observed Matru-Pitru Poojan Diwas — a beautiful celebration deeply rooted in Indian culture and tradition that honours the sacred bond between parents and children.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from a large number of parents, turning the occasion into a memorable and grand success. The atmosphere was filled with love, respect, and gratitude as students came forward to express their reverence for their mothers and fathers in the most traditional and touching ways.
The highlight of the programme was the heartfelt ritual performed by the students:
- Applying a sacred tilak on their parents’ foreheads
- Singing a devotional aarti dedicated to them
- Showering their parents with flower petals
- Offering sweets with folded hands and loving smiles
These simple yet profoundly meaningful gestures not only strengthened the emotional bond between parents and their children but also served as a powerful reminder of the values of respect, gratitude, and family unity.
The celebration beautifully reinforced the timeless Indian ethos that parents are living embodiments of love, sacrifice, and divinity. Through this small but sincere act of devotion, the students of SVS contributed meaningfully towards building happier, more peaceful, and harmonious families and communities.
Matru-Pitru Poojan Diwas at SVS once again proved that when children honour their parents with love and reverence, it creates ripples of positivity that extend far beyond the school premises.
