On September 2, 2025, Sadhu Vaswani School, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Ahmedabad – Airport, hosted an impactful Thalassemia Awareness Programme and Screening Camp. The event was designed to educate the community and promote early detection of Thalassemia, fostering a healthier future.
The programme began with a solemn Dadaji’s Aarti by Rtn. Rushang Soni (Hon. Secretary), setting a reflective tone. Dr. Anil Khatri, Joint Secretary of Sadhu Vaswani Mission, delivered an insightful lecture on Thalassemia, shedding light on its causes, symptoms, and prevention. To enhance understanding, he also presented an informative video on the subject.
As part of the initiative, blood samples were collected from students for Thalassemia screening, conducted by a team of dedicated doctors. Around 180 students gave the blood samples after consent from their parents. This hands-on approach underscored the importance of early diagnosis and proactive health measures.
The event reflects the commitment of Sadhu Vaswani School and the Rotary Club of Ahmedabad – Airport to community welfare and health awareness. Together, we strive to empower individuals with knowledge and resources to combat Thalassemia, ensuring a brighter, healthier tomorrow.
