Guru Purnima is a revered and auspicious occasion dedicated to honouring and expressing gratitude to Teachers or Guru.
The Guru Purnima was celebrated at our school on 22-7-24. The programme commenced with lighting the candle, followed by devotional prayer “Jai Dada Jai Ho … “creating a reverent atmosphere and paying homage to our Gurus Sadhu T L Vaswani and Dada J P Vaswani.
After the prayer, a speech was delivered by Mrs Beena Chauhan on the significance of Guru Purnima and the vital role of the Teachers. Her speech highlighted the role of Rishi Ved Vyas in whose honour Guru Purnima is celebrated.
Our tiny tots charmed the gathering with the chanting of shlokas, bringing a sense of purity and devotion to the celebration.
Students also expressed their gratitude through speeches in English and Hindi .Their speeches reflected deep regards for the teachers.
A skit was performed by the students illustrating the importance of guru in one’s life and giving a message to concentrate on the goal and humbly accepting the mistakes & learning a lesson from the same.
The dance performance by students of Higher Secondary section thrilled the gathering. Their performance showed their compassion, joy and devotion towards their mentors.
After that there was Tilak ceremony: The tilak Ceremony was a solemn moment where teachers were honoured with traditional tilak, followed by aarti and giving handmade cards to the Teachers. Rose petals were showered by students. This gesture of the students symbolized their esteem gratitude towards their teachers.
After the Tilak ceremony, the Principal addressed the gathering and bestowed blessings upon everyone. He spoke about the values of education, urging to respect the teachers and seek knowledge and wisdom from them.
The celebration ended with National Anthem.
The Guru Purnima Celebration was a memorable tribute filled with respect, cultural richness and heart-felt appreciation for the teachers.
